BC School Counselor

Hello! My name is Meghan Markham, and I am the School Counselor at Black Creek Elementary/Middle School. My role as a School Counselor is to help students develop social/emotional skills, achieve academic growth, and develop an understanding of career opportunities. I work individually with students, facilitate small group sessions, and deliver classroom counseling curriculum.

The curriculum delivered is driven from the Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model and the American School Counseling Association National Standards. Some units covered include learning skills, empathy, emotional management, and problem solving.

A little about me: I received my B.S. from UW-La Crosse, majoring in Sociology and minoring in psychology. My Master's Degree is from UW-Milwaukee, focusing on Educational psychology. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my two children, cheering on the Packers and being outside.
