Kindergarten Expectations by the end of the year:
- Able to identify body parts.
- Able to balance, hop, skip, and jump with both feet.
- Able to work cooperatively with a partner or small group.
- Listens & follow directions.
- Able to throw, catch, dribble and kick a ball.
Grades 1-5 Expectations:
- Dress out in appropriate physical education attire (tennis shoes), no jewelry and sit in assigned area (stretching spot) at the beginning of each class.
- Each class will include the following format: instant activity (aerobic activity), stretching/flexibility, and then the activity.
- During each class, students are expected to be responsible for their own actions, be respectful of all people and school property.
- Students are expected to listen & follow directions.
- Students are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, effort & cooperate with classmates.
- Students are expected to have a positive physical education experience.

National Physical Education Standards
The National Content Standards publications define what a student should
know and be able to do as result of a quality physical education program.
States and local school districts across the country use the National
Standards to develop or revise existing standards, frameworks and curricula.
