Dear Seymour Community High School Students and Families,

I am delighted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new principal of Seymour Community High School! I am truly humbled and honored to continue working with such a dedicated staff and community. Together, we will continue to make SCHS a great place for our students to learn and grow. 

I am proud to share that this school year will be my 27th year in education, and my 22nd year with Seymour Community Schools. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various educational roles, including as an elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, high school social studies teacher, as well as serving as a high school head coach. Each of these experiences has provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students, parents, families, and educators. 

At Seymour Community High School, my goal is to build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement while working collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students. By pursuing excellence, embracing challenges, and discovering our passions, we can help foster a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas while promoting positive citizenship, and valuing the unique talents and contributions of every individual. 

I believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to student success, and therefore encourage parents and guardians to actively engage in their child’s education by actively participating in the spirited community at SCHS. Throughout the school year, you can expect regular updates on important events and celebrations. I also encourage you to attend school activities and functions, as your involvement is vital to the success of our students. 

I am truly excited to embark on this journey with all of you and look forward to getting to know each and every one of our students and families.
