High School English, Learning Support Teacher, G/T & AP Coordinator Email Phone: 920-833-2306 x479 Jessica Caldie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in secondary English education and from Concordia University in 2017 with her master's degree in curriculum and instruction. Jessica currently teaches English 9 and 10 Honors and serves as the Learning Support Teacher, ,G/T Coordinator for Seymour Community High School, and AP Coordinator for the district. Jessica believes the ability to communicate effectively and to understand the communication (direct and implied) are key skills for all students, especially as they transition out of high school. The central goals of the English program at Seymour Community High School are for every student to be able to read closely, analyze, write to communicate, discuss in a productive manner, speak formally, and to increase reading and writing stamina. Jessica believes in using the power of active learning, discussion, and feedback to help students improve their abilities in all of these areas every year. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends and a wide-variety of ever-changing hobbies including sewing, watercolor painting, crochet, reading, podcasts, and more. Students can access course materials via their Google Classroom accounts.
