Rock Ledge Elementary Summer School Main Information

Welcome to the 2025 Rock Ledge Summer Program!

This summer all classes will be held at Seymour Middle School. We are excited to offer a choice of options for students during summer school this year! Please refer to the course descriptions below about the different offerings available to your child this summer.

The June session is offered to students who are currently in 4k-4th grade. Current 5th graders will be registering through Seymour Middle School. This three week session will begin on Monday, June 15th and will conclude on Thursday, July 2nd.  June summer school is offered from 8:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Thursday.  All 5K-4th grade classes are 60 minutes long with the exception of 4k.

Location

All summer school classes will be offered in Seymour Middle School.

Registration 

Summer school registration will be completed online through PowerSchool.  Parents will select classes based on your child’s current grade.  Find Registration Instructions HERE. 

Bus Transportation

Students who are within the bussing boundaries may sign up to have the bus bring them to and from summer school. Please indicate if you want bussing when you are registering.

Breakfast is available

Breakfast will still be offered to all students following the same purchasing guidelines that were implemented during the school year. If you want your child to receive breakfast, please indicate it when you are registering.

Confirmation of Classes

A schedule will be sent home with your student with their report cards on the last day of school.  If you wish to drop a class, or you have any questions about summer school, please call the school office at (920) 833-5155.

Week 1: June 8th-11th *starts a week before Summer School (Current 5K/1st Grade)

Week 2: June 15th-June 18th (Current 2nd-4th Grader)

Time: 12:00-3:00

Transportation details: For Week 1: Bus will pick up in front of Rock Ledge at 12:00. It will depart at 12:05. The bus will pick students up at Black Creek Elementary at 12:20. Parents can opt to drop their child off at Fallen Timbers at 12:45 instead of having their student ride the bus. The bus will drop students off. For week two students attending should meet outside of the SMS office.

Course Description: Students will start the week learning all about birds- they will begin by discussing bird adaptations, nests and eggs, identification, and go on a hike to see what kind of birds are using our area! Then they’ll get their hands a little dirty digging around in the pond and the dirt looking for bugs and insects. Next, students will discover what animals are wandering around Fallen Timbers. Finally, students will round out the week playing fun outdoor games and having a campfire with snacks!

The June session of Fallen Timbers is offered to students who are currently in kindergarten-fifth grade. 

Current 5k and 1st graders: June 8th-June 11th from 12:45 pm-2:45 pm.  
Current 2nd-4th graders: June 15th-June 18th from 12:45 pm-2:45 pm.
Students can take a bus directly from summer school to Fallen Timbers. Students that are leaving directly from summer school to Fallen Timbers should bring a bag lunch. Please note that there is no return bus service; all students must be picked up at the Middle School at 3:00 pm. Students attending Fallen Timbers for the second session should meet outside of the SMS office.

If you are providing your own transportation, please drop off students at Fallen Timbers at 12:45 pm and pick them up at 2:45 pm.


Intervention & Enrichment

Intervention opportunities will be provided within the morning. Students who were receiving intervention during the school year, will continue to receive intervention during summer school.

Enrichment opportunities will be provided within the summer school courses.
