WTA (Wisconsin Towns Association) Contest 5/24/2024 7 - $1,000
Requirements:

Plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2024.

Winners are determined by independent judging of an essay contest. Topic of the essay should address: "What strategies can be implemented by town officials in collaboration with citizens to maintain civility to local government?"

Students DO NOT have to be residents of towns.

Essays must be postmarked by May 24, 2024!

WISCONSIN TOWNS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Essay/Video 5/24/2024 7/$1,000
Requirements:

The Wisconsin Towns Association, Rural Mutual Insurance Company, and Scott Construction, Inc. will be awarding $7,000 in scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2022 from either a public or private high school in Wisconsin that plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or a university in 2022. The winners are determined by independent judging of an essay contest.  The essay should address the topic: "If Wisconsin could design it's local government funding system from scratch, what would be the best and most equitable way to fund town government services?"

  1. You must currently be a senior in high school
  2. Your school must be in: Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma or Wisconsin
  3. You must have a GPA of 2.5 or better
  4. You must have plans to attend college or plans for a training program, JATC, Military, etc., after graduation (the college CAN be in any state)
