Are you looking for a class that you can work on at times that fits your busy schedule?
Are you short of credits for graduation?
If you answered yes to at least one of the questions above, you may be interested in taking an online class – a class through our Seymour Online Learning Center. This program began in the Summer of 2011 to provide an appropriate educational alternative to a diverse population of students. The district acknowledges online education as an appropriate instructional delivery system for some students.
Who should apply?
Anyone who answered yes to the above questions and who considers themselves to be organized, to be responsible, to be an independent learner, to be an effective communicator and to be computer literate.
How do you apply?
Meet with your school counselor to determine which choice would best meet your course plan for your remaining years at Seymour Community High School. Decide whether you believe you are a good candidate for participating in a virtual learning environment.
Fill out and submit the online registration form.
Sign and return a Student/Parent Contract.
Registration Deadline: May 1
NOTE: On-campus students are limited to one online course (1/2 credit) per semester.
