WRITERS' WORKSHOP

Our class will be learning all about the writing process through the writers' workshop. 

Students will learn how to collect ideas, plan their writing, draft, edit, revise, publish and share their writing with others. 

Through author studies, we will use published authors as our mentors in the writing process.  Authors like Angela Johnson, Robert Munsch, Eric Carle, Mo Willems, Jane Yolen and so many others will help to inspire us along the way! 

In 2nd grade we will write Non-fiction (informational) texts, small moment stories, persuasive letters, realistic fiction stories, fractured fairy tales and poems!
