2013 School Board Goals
Seymour Community School District Instruction Goals
The School Board directs administration, through professional development activities, to develop 100% implementation of Response to Intervention by December, 2013.
The School Board will continue to promote academic growth through emphasis in reading, writing, and math. The district will demonstrate this student growth through the DPI statewide school report cards. This will be measured by the reading and mathematics achievements scores for each building in the district.
Seymour Community School District Accountability Goals
The School Board directs administration, through professional development activities, to be prepared for the Smarter Balanced Assessment by the 2014-2015 school year.
The School Board supports the piloting of the Principal Effectiveness Model in 2013, the piloting of the Teacher Effectiveness Model in the 2013-2014 school year, and full implementation of the Principal and Teacher Effectiveness Models in 2014-2015.
The School Board will continue to support the communication of the educational initiatives with community stakeholders.
21st Century Students and Instruction
The School Board directs administration to implement the new Student Information System by the 2013-2014 school year.
The School Board fully supports technology integration into all curricular areas.
